Ingredients

Chicken :500 gm   
Coconut :1
Coriander seeds:10 gm   
Poppy seeds: 5 gm   
Ginger : 1 small piece
Garlic :2 (big)
Cloves:9   
Bark of Cloves: 3   
Cardamom:3
Onion :2   
Tomato:2
Chilli Powder: 4 tbsp
Turmeric Powder: a little   
Salt :to taste
Coriander leaves: a bunch   
Groundnut Oil: 100 ml   
Curry leaves : a little

 

Method    

Clean the chicken.
Cut onion, tomato and Coriander leaves finely.
Grind ginger and garlic into a paste.
Heat oil in a vessel.
Add 4 cloves,  2 Bark of cloves and cardamom.
When they splutter add cut onion, tomato, some coriander leaves and curry leaves.
Fry onion till it is golden in colour.
Add chicken, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt, water and cook.   
When the chicken is half cooked add the ginger garlic paste, stir and close the vessel with lid.
Grind Coriander seeds, poppy seeds, remaining cloves in a mixie finely.
Add coconut,  coriander leaves     and grind to a paste.
When the chicken is cooked, add coconut paste and let it boil for 10 - 15 minutes.
Remove from fire, when the contents are thick.
